Urinary
Leakage:
Urgency:
Involuntary or accidental loss of urine
Strong, intense, and sudden desire to void that is hard to postpone
Frequency:
Urinating more than 8 times in a 24 hour period
Retention:
Inability to empty urine from the bladder, partially or completely
Nocturia:
Awakening at night one or more times because of the need or urge to urinate
Bowel
Leakage:
Involuntary or accidental loss of of liquid or solid stool or gas from the anus
Constipation:
Condition of experiencing difficulty emptying the bowels
Prolapse
Bladder:
Also called cystocele. Intrusion, bulging, or herniation of the bladder into the vagina
Rectum:
Also called rectocele. Bulging of the rectum into the space normally occupied by the vagina
Uterus:
Dropping of the uterus from its normal position, with the cervix closer to protruding outside the vagina
Small intestine:
Also called enterocele. The descending of the small intestine into the lower pelvic cavity
Vaginal Vault:
The upper portion of the vagina loses its normal shape and sags or drops down into the vaginal canal or outside the vagina.
Diastasis Recti
A fairly common condition of pregnancy and postpartum in which the left and right halves of the rectus abdominis muscle spread apart at the body's midline fascia, the linea alba
